First Aid Classes


CPR/AED

The Adult CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims about 12 years and older. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certification card from Emergency First Response (EFR)  for Adult CPR/AED valid for two years.

FIRST AID/CPR/AED

The Adult First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims about 12 years and older.  Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certification card from Emergency First Response (EFR)  for Adult First Aid/ CPR/ and AED valid for two years.

EMERGENCY OXYGEN

This class is designed to give participants the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to a victim of a breathing emergency using breathing devices such as a non-breather resuscitator mask, bag-valve-mask resuscitators or BVMs, demand inhalator valves, manually triggered ventilators, and emergency oxygen. Participants will learn how to assemble and disassemble an emergency oxygen unit and practice using the unit during simulated emergencies.
